Celtic Classic fiddling competition

The Celtic Classic is looking for talented fiddlers for its annual fiddle competition. The competition focuses on Celtic styles such as Irish, Scottish, Cape Breton, Orkney, Shetland and Galician. The contest is segmented into two divisions, novice, for ages 13 and under, and open, for ages 14 through 18 years.

Three cash prizes and medals will be awarded for the best fiddle performance in each category.

It will be an educational and entertaining event for participants and audience members alike.

The competition will take place at the historic Charles A. Brown Ice House in downtown Bethlehem 10:30 a.m. Sept. 29. There is an entry fee. For more details, visit the Celtic Classic website at www.celticfest.org.
