Auditions set for 'Carol'

Auditions for Civic Theatre of Allentown's 2012 production of "A Christmas Carol" are Oct. 15 and 16 in the rehearsal hall, 19th Street Theatre, 527 N. 19th St., Allentown.

Auditions are 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15 for ages 6-15, and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16 for 16 and older. All roles are open. A teenager who wants to audition for the role of an adult should attend the adult audition.

Adults and children will be asked to do a cold reading from "A Christmas Carol" script. Children will also be asked to sing a Christmas song. Everyone auditioning should bring a headshot to the audition. The headshots do not have to be professionally-taken.

The 2012 production of "A Christmas Carol" will be directed by Civic Artistic Director William Sanders, who adapted the script from Charles Dickens' novel along with Sharon Lee Glassman.

"A Christmas Carol" runs Nov. 30 - Dec. 15, with student matinees Dec. 4, 5, 11 and 12.
