Whitford R. "Dick" Dickinson Jr., 83, of Macungie, died October 3, 2012, in the Phoebe Home. He was the husband of Eleanor R. (Teada) Dickinson, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Hummels Wharf, he was the son of the late Hilda (Clark) and Whitford R. Dickinson Sr.

He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

He worked for Mack Trucks Inc. for 18 years as an expediter, retiring in 1984. Prior to that he was a golf professional at Sunbury and Clinton Country Clubs.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie.

He is survived by his wife; son, John and his wife, Allie; daughter, Shirley and her husband Kenneth Ritter; grandchildren, Brian Ritter, Kristin Haupt, Casey Kanther, Kyle Burns, Christy Sorrentino, Michael, and Rachel; six great-grandchildren.
