MaryEllen (Brown) Kleckner, 74, of Emmaus, died October 17, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Joel Kleckner Sr. They were married for 53 years in September. Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late William and Edna Brown.

She was a graduate of Tamaqua High School, class of 1956.

She was employed at the former Stewart Sandwich Company and Lutron Electronics until retiring.

She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus for over 40 years.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Joel Jr. and his wife Sandi of Northampton; Jon and his wife Debbie of Bethlehem, Jason and his wife Kristine of Emmaus; daughter, JoEllen and her husband Stephen Rooney of Allentown; grandsons, Joel, Brandon, Jason II, Stephen and Ryan; granddaughters, Ashley and Kayla; extra-special sister and Earth Angel, Emma "Kitty" and her husband Joseph Vlcek of Tamaqua; brother Richard Brown and his wife Janet of Hometown; sister-in-law, MaryEllen Kleckner of Lansford and brother-in-law, Al Miller of Leesburg, Fla. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Miller.

She had fond memories of times spent with many nieces, nephews and close friends.
