Salisbury High School will have late arrivals Dec. 5 and 6, so the juniors and seniors can present their graduation projects.
Salisbury Middle School will host their annual winter concert 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6.
Western Salisbury Elementary School will have their PTA Holiday Shop open this week.
Dec. 10 will begin parent teacher conferences in the elementary schools. Harry S Truman Elementary School and WSE will dismiss 1 p.m. Dec. 11 through 14.
On Dec. 11, the Salisbury Music Association will meet 7 p.m. in the SMS library.
WSE will hold a PTA fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse on Hamilton Boulevard 4 to 10 p.m. Dec. 12.
Mid-marking for the second quarter is Dec. 13 for SHS students. The SHS winter choral and instrumental concert will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 13.
SMS will reach mid-marking Dec. 17.
Holiday parties will be held Dec. 20 at HST and WSE.
SMS and SHS will dismiss 10:30 a.m. Dec. 21; the elementary schools will dismiss 11:15. Schools within Salisbury Township will be closed for the remainder of the year for the Christmas holiday and winter break. All schools will reopen Jan. 2, 2013.

On Dec. 1, the SHS varsity swimming and diving team, under the new leadership of Jason Reinhard and Jim Hersh with returning assistant coach, Alex Dapkewcz, traveled to the Wilkes Barre area to compete in an exhibition swimming meet against AAA team, Wyoming Valley West. Although the SHS varsity team is hindered with some injuries and illnesses, the boys and girls team had a strong early showing. Their first official meet will be against (non-league) Quakertown 4 p.m. Dec. 7. The meet will be held in Salisbury's home pool of KidsPeace in Fountain Hill. Come support your talented Falcons. The SHS varsity swimming team is selling gift cards. The price of the card is the value of the card; however, the swim team booster club will receive a small percentage for each card sold. If you purchase gift cards from any retail or grocery story, consider purchasing through a Salisbury swimmer or diver. For further information, speak to Phyllis Sipos.
The STSD school board approved an updated 2012-13 school calendar in response to the use of four weather days in October during Hurricane Sandy. The make-up dates include March 27, 2013 and May 3, 2013. Days that have been added to the school calendar include June 7, 2013 and June 10, 2013.
St. Thomas More will hold their holiday parties Dec. 21, followed by an 11 a.m. prayer service and a noon dismissal. The school will be closed for the Christmas holiday until Jan. 2, 2013. For information on St. Thomas More School or their activities calendar, go to www.stmschoolpa. com.
