Judges for the Cub Scout Pack 146 Pinewood Derby Jan. 26 keep a sharp eye to determine the order of finish of three Cub Scout Pinewood Derby cars. Mike George, of Bethlehem, Bear Den leader for Cub Scout Troop 146, gets three competitors off the starting line for the Scout's Pinewood Derby held Jan. 26 at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Church Road, in the eastern portion of the township. Derby cars made by the Scouts will be on display at Harry S Truman Elementary School in February.
As statistician for the Cub Scout Troop 146 Pinewood Derby last Saturday, David Markley, of Allentown, has to keep track of the order of finish through multiple heats until only three finalists are unbeaten.
These three finalists compete in the championship heat of Cub Scout Pack 146 last Saturday at the Scouts' Pinewood Derby competition. The Scouts are, from left: first place, River Yost; second place, Stone Crocus; and third place Dante Yost. All are Salisbury School District students. Behind the youngsters is the Scout Pack's committee chairman David Yemm, of Salisbury, who presented the boys with their trophies.
