Ron Eichenberg announces re-election bid

Ron Eichenberg, current president of the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners, announces he will seek re-election in the 2013 election.

He and his wife Bea have lived in Lower Macungie for 29 years. His daughter Gwenn, son-in-law and two granddaughters live nearby in South Whitehall.

Actively involved in community service, Eichenberg is vice-president on the board of Emmaus Main Street Partners, board member of the Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce and Emmaus Rotary Club. In addition, he served nine years on the board of The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton County, most recently as past president.

State Representative Ryan Mackenzie,R-134th, said, "Ron has a keen awareness of the issues and a sincere desire to work on behalf of all residents in Lower Macungie. I am pleased to support and endorse him for re-election to the Board of Commissioners."

"Macungie has and will continue to experience significant growth historically followed by economic growth sustaining and enhancing the quality of life of residents," Eichenberg said. "As Lower Macungie strives to achieve the best advantages of economic growth, my knowledge and experience gained from 38 years as a realtor in the Lehigh Valley will prove an asset."
