Attempted theft

A resident in the 2800 block of Tupelo Street reported 9:30 a.m. Feb. 23 an unknown person went through an unlocked Jeep Cherokee. Nothing was removed from the vehicle.

Theft from vehicle

An unknown person went through a Ford vehicle 9:35 a.m. Feb. 23 in the 2800 block of Tupelo Street. Nothing was removed from the vehicle.

An unknown person unzippered the soft cover of a Jeep parked in the 2800 block of Tupelo Street 1:15 p.m. Feb. 23. Multiple CDs and an old cell phone were removed. Total value of items removed is $200.

An unknown person removed change from a vehicle parked in the 2800 block of Tupelo Street 9:38 a.m. Feb. 23. There was no damage to the vehicle.

A resident in the 800 block of Euclid Street reported 6:44 a.m. Feb. 25 an unknown person removed welding cables from the bed of the truck sometime between Feb. 23 and 25. The total value of cables is $1,000.

A resident in the 800 block of Euclid Street reported 4:34 a.m. Feb. 25 an unknown person cut a Ty Wrap on the vehicle and removed two Craftsman socket sets. No value was given on the socket sets.

Robbery

An unknown suspect walked into Starbucks, 3170 Lehigh Streeet 6:15 p.m. Feb. 23 and demanded the employee open the register. When she was unable to do so, the suspect grabbed the tip jar and left the building in a dark colored vehicle. The Allentown Police Department apprehended the suspect later and arrested him. No additional information is known on the suspect.

Vandalism

An unknown person stuck a knife in the side of the driver's side rear tire of a car parked in the 600 block of E. Lynnwood Street 8:56 a.m. Feb. 24.

A bus driver who parks his car on Gaskill Avenue reported damage to his vehicle 9:30 a.m. Feb. 25. An unknown person keyed the front driver's side door and front quarter panel.

Identity theft

A resident in the 700 block of Montgomery Street reported to police 3 p.m. Feb. 25 an unknown person used their VISA Debit card to make several purchases at Walmart. The loss is $160 and the bank is investigating the charges.

Theft

A canoe was reported removed from the side of a residence in the 2700 block of Pike Avenue 5:35 p.m. Feb. 25. The Old Town canoe was a 17-foot two seater.

DUI

Melissa Wall, 44, of Breingsville, was stopped for suspicion of driving under the influence in the 1200 block of Cedar Crest Boulevard 7:11 p.m. Feb. 25. She was taken to the DUI center for processing.

Burglary

A home in the 500 block of E. Federal Street was burglarized 3:27 p.m. Feb. 27 and two jewelry boxes were removed from the home. The rear door of the home was kicked in.
