Raymond J. Mihalik, 85, of Allentown, died May 10, 2013, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of H. Jayne (Lindenmuth) Mihalik. They were married for 66 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John and Lena (Winkler) Mihalik.

He served two years in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Marias during World War II.

He graduated from Allentown High School in 1947.

He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.

He began his career in the textile industry. He first worked at Penn State Mills before becoming a supervisor at Lehigh Dyeing and Finishing, Syntex and then Fairtex in Allentown. He later worked as a custodian at both Air Products and the Allentown School District.

He was an avid sports fan of both the New York Giants and the San Francisco Giants.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Dr. Brian J. and his wife Linda of Columbia, S.C., S. Michael and his wife Virginia of Allentown and Christopher M. and his wife Gina of Schnecksville; six grandchildren, Gregory, Jennifer, Michael, Mark, Valerie and Kevin; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Jared; brothers, Bernard F. and John R., both of Allentown.
