William R. "Lefty" Laudenslager, 86, of Allentown, died May 2, 2013, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. Born in Salisbury Township, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Blanche S. (Nonnemaker) Laudenslager.

He served his country honorably in the Army during World War II.

He was a woodworker for the Allen Organ Company in Macungie for 28-1/2 years, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Allentown as well as the Mercantile Club Emmaus and a life member of the Fearless Fire Company, Allentown.

He was a former competitive bowler at Fearless Fire Company for 55 years.

He enjoyed doing landscaping work for his neighbors.

He is survived by brothers, Ernest and his wife Jean of Allentown, Dalton and his wife Susan of Breinigsville, Edwin and his wife Ernestine, of Allentown; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Held.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society L.V. Unit, 3893 Alder Place, Bethlehem, 18017.
