Wednesday, June 12, 2013 by The Press in Focus

Pastor Marge Dean, associate pastor of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus, is greeted during worship June 2 by the Rev. Glenn L. Simmons, associate to the Bishop, with a letter of thanks for her service to the church from Bishop Zeiser of the Northeastern PA Synod. Pastor Marge was greeted by members at a reception following worship to thank her for her ministry as she begins retirement. During her time at Holy Spirit, Pastor Marge brought the Rejoicing Spirits ministry to life (monthly worship services to individuals with special needs), revived the volunteer ministry program of the church, was a key leader for Ministry in Daily Life and the youth ministry program as well as being involved in many other aspects of life at Holy Spirit. The closing words of her sermon, "God be with you 'till we meet again," echoed throughout the building as members bid her a fond farewell.
