Herman F. Wilkins, 78, of Lower Macungie Township, formerly of Hellertown, died July 31, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth W. (Wimmer) Wilkins for 54 years. Born in Lumberton, N.C., he was a son of the late James and Mary (Wilkins) Wilkins.

He was a graduate of Lumberton High School and Warren Technical Institute, Washington, N.J.

He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime.

He was employed by ITT Electron Tube Division, Easton, as a technician and a supervisor of production, retiring in December, 1993.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Emmaus.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Glenn and his wife, Robin A.; grandaughter, Robin L. all of West Chester; and three siblings, Dorothy Watts of Lumberton, N.C., Leroy of Rockingham, N.C., and Robert and his wife, Bernadine, of Center Valley.

He was predeceased by two siblings, James and Luther Leroy.
