Colebrook Farms executive

Sterling C. Singley, 84, of Macungie, died Nov. 3, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice. He was the wife of the late Elizabeth H. (Rue) Singley. Born in Arndtsville, he was the son of the late Carl W. and Fleeta F. (Taylor) Singley.

He was a graduate of Iowa State University.

He was the plant manager and vice president of marketing for Colebrook Farms, formerly Stewart Sandwich Service and later worked for Chernay Printing, retiring in 1996.

He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville.

He honorably served his country in the Army.

He loved sports and was a pitcher in the Philadelphia Farm System and for the Army at Fort Riley, Kan.

He is survived by sons, Keith C. and his wife Gale, of Macungie and Douglas D. and his wife Pam, of Seisholtzville; grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Kristine, Nathan, and Shea. He was predeceased by a sister, Louise.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Nov. 8 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1208 Brookside Road Wescosville, 18062. Viewing 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Nov. 8 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
