WESTERN SALISBURY COLUMN Salisbury Middle School to host Dance-a-thon

Wednesday, December 24, 2014 by REBECCA FOEHRKOLB Special to The Press in Columns

Salisbury Middle School will hold the fourth annual Dance-a-thon Jan. 30, 2015 to support the Prager Cancer Patient Fund and Dream Come True.

I am mentioning this now because the registration form is due the day the students return to school from winter break.

On the back of the registration form is a pledge form which also needs to be filled out with a minimum pledge required to participate. I have ours hanging on the fridge for two reasons.

First, so we can ask people who stop by if they would like to pledge to this worthy cause and second, so it doesn't get lost in the holiday chaos and we forget to hand it in.

The school is also looking for donations of snacks for the students to purchase over the course of the 12-hour event. Contact SMS if you are willing to donate.

Also on Jan. 5, 2015, there is a financial aid night 6:30 p.m. at the high school and an operations committee meeting 7 p.m. in the administration building.

All Salisbury Township schools will be closed for winter break starting Dec. 24 and continuing through Jan. 4, 2015. Because Jan. 2, 2015 falls on a Friday this year, we are blessed with an extra long break. Enjoy everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone!
