"Dolly!" is back: The wonderfully-extravagant "Hello, Dolly!" stars Mia Scarpa, above, in the title role of Dolly Levi. The Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre production continues through July 26, Baker Theatre, Trexler Pavilion for Theater and Dance, Muhlenberg College, Allentown. Charles Richter directs the classic musical with a lavish attention to detail. The production team includes Choreographer Karen Dearborn, Scenic Designer Campbell Baird, Costume Designer Dustin Cross, Lighting Designer John McKernon and Music Director Michael Schnack conducting the 11-piece orchestra. The cast includes Jarrod Yuskauskas (Horace Vandergelder), Eileen (Mrs. Molloy), Ryan Skerchak (Cornelius Hackl), Nick Picknally (Barnaby Hackl) and Erica Morreale (Minnie Fay). As the Focus theater review stated, "Hello, Dolly!" is "a superb paean to the Golden Age of Broadway. It's ambitious, sumptuous and high-energy." "Foreigner" arrives: Larry Shue's award-winning comedy, "The Foreigner," continues through Aug. 2 at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Main Stage, Labuda Center for the Performing Arts, DeSales University, Center Valley. The production features the same repertory cast performing in "Henry V": David Button (Ellard), above left, and Jacob Dresch (Charlie Baker, "the foreiger"), above right, and Carl N. Wallnau (Froggy), Jane Ridley (Betty), Marnie Schulenburg (Catherine), Zack Robidas (Rev. David Marshall Lee) and Anthony Lawton (Owen). Madcap mischief ensues when some real characters meet in Betty Meek's Fishing Lodge in Georgia. Sgt. "Froggy" LeSueur, a British munitions expert, brings his pathologically shy friend Charlie Baker across the pond for a vacation. Long-time PSF actor and director Jim Helsinger directs "The Foreigner."
