Salisbury homecoming festivities planned
Let the Homecoming festivities begin.
The weekend starts off 5:30 p.m. Oct. 7 with the second annual homecoming parade. The route begins at Harry S Truman Elementary School and ends at the high school. After that, stick around for the football game against Pen Argyl 7 p.m.
Who is going to be crowned King and Queen this year? Last but not least, the homecoming dance is being held 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 8 in the high school gym.
Salisbury High School will hold an information meeting about dual enrollment 6 p.m. Sept. 29. Immediately following will be an open house for the high school 6:45 p.m.
Salisbury Middle School will host its first dance and activity night of the school year 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 30.
The first coffee and conversation with the superintendent and assistant superintendent for teaching and learning will be 6 to 6:45 p.m. Oct. 3 at the administration building. If you are interested in attending, RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
An operations committee meeting is scheduled immediately following 7 p.m.
Western Salisbury Elementary PTA will have a general meeting and free Chinese dinner 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 4.
SMS invites parents and guardians to school Oct. 7 for parent visitation day. Come out and embarrass, I mean visit your student. They love it.
All Salisbury Township schools are closed Oct. 10 for a teacher professional day. Enjoy the long weekend.
Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will present a piano concert by Barry Snyder 7 p.m. Oct. 1.
The church will hold its community breakfast 8 to 11 a.m. Oct. 8 with an autumn theme. A donation is suggested. All proceeds benefit the 275th anniversary celebration.
The Devonshire drop-off center is open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 1 and 4. The days of operation are the first and third Tuesday and Saturday of the month.
