The first annual charity basketball game for Salisbury Youth Association will be held March 25 at SHS. Proceeds will support the Salisbury Police Department to support “Project Life Saver” and “National Night out.”

There will be a basketball clinic for students ages five through 11 years old, a K-9 demonstration by township police, lectures on stranger danger for kids and fundraising activities by SYA basketball players 1 to 4 p.m. in the SHS gym. Then, 4 to 6 p.m. there will be a basketball game featuring the Salisbury Police Department versus the SYA. There will be no admission fee. Donations will be accepted. There will also be a 50/50 drawing at halftime. Hope to see you there!

There will be a curriculum and technology committee meeting 7 p.m. March 27 at Western Salisbury Elementary School. A regular board meeting will follow.

Due to the recent snowstorm, college information night at SHS has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 28

The next T-shirt day at HST is March 30.

If you pre-purchased tickets for the March 31 Phantoms game, look for the tickets to be coming home soon. A school messenger will be sent to notify parents of the tickets arrival. The HST fourth and fifth grade chorus will be singing “God Bless America” and artwork from HST students will be on display at the game at the PPL Center, 701 Hamilton St, Allentown.

The annual Pennsylvania System of School Assessment testing in English for students in grades three through eight starts April 3. Please ensure students eat a good breakfast and encourage them to do their best.

Looking forward, April 10 will be the first grade invitation to lunch at HST. Look for information to be sent home soon with your student.

There will be an early dismissal 12:15 p.m. April 12 for SMS and SHS. April 13 (snow make-up day) will also be an early dismissal. SMS and SHS will dismiss 12:15 p.m. and HST and WSE will dismiss 1 p.m. All Salisbury Township School District schools will be closed April 14 and 17. Please remember to plan accordingly.
