Trick or treat night in Salisbury Township is 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 27.
The South Mall is also having a trick or treat event 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 28. If you are like me and live near the Emmaus border, their trick or treat night is 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. I don’t get many trick or treaters where I live, so if I get a few from Emmaus, I give them some candy if I have it.
Salisbury Township leaf collection started in the fifth ward and will work eastward. Collection will take place 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The township has asked residents to place the leaves on the edge of the street away from any vehicles, not to place anything heavy on top of the leaves and not to bag the leaves.
The township will only pick up leaves, not branches. The township will post a general location where they will be working every Friday at www.salisburytownshippa.org. Crews pass through the township twice, so don’t worry if you miss them the first time.
