EASTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

Wednesday, December 13, 2017 by SARAH TAKACS Special to The Press in Columns

Santa will visit Eastern Salisbury families Dec. 16

The holiday season is certainly in full swing, and we’ve now had our first snowfall of the season. If your kids are anything like mine, they’re counting down the days until the winter break. There are several happenings before that however.

Eastern Salisbury Fire Department will hold its annual Santa Run Dec. 16. Watch for Santa to come to your street on a fire truck.

The next coffee with a cop, hosted by our own Salisbury Township Police Department, will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Starbucks on Lehigh Street in the South Mall parking lot. Come out to support this great event.

Harry S Truman Elementary will have its next T-shirt day Dec. 21. Be sure to show your Falcon pride.

On Dec. 22, all Salisbury Township schools will dismiss early. Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss 12:15 p.m., while HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School will dismiss 1 p.m. This will lead to all Salisbury Township schools being closed for the winter break Dec. 25 until Jan. 1, 2018. Schools will reopen Jan. 2, 2018.

From my family to yours, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and makes time to enjoy family and friends.
