EASTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

Wednesday, December 27, 2017 by SARAH TAKACS Special to The Press in Columns

Schools closed through Jan. 2, 2018

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. This time is always the busiest for us. Since I tend to procrastinate (yes I’m admitting it!), sometimes it takes a miracle to get done. New Year’s Eve is typically down time to recover from the festivities and get ready to start the next year. (Of course there is usually a resolution not to procrastinate.)

All Salisbury Township schools will be closed through Jan. 1, 2018. Schools will resume Jan. 2, 2018.

Jan. 4, 2018 will be the first Harry S Truman Elementary School T-shirt day of 2018. Be sure to wear your leadership shirts.

The next HST PTO meeting will be 7 p.m. Jan. 8, 2018.

Jan. 8, 2018 is also the first operations committee meeting of the year, which will be held 7 p.m. in the administration building.

Looking forward, the Salisbury Township School District will be closed Jan. 15, 2018 for a teacher’s professional development day.

I wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
