Salisbury High School’s new literary magazine, Euphoria, accepted student submissions for a contest through Jan. 30. All students who participated received a prize and the chance to be printed in Euphoria. Submissions included poetry, short stories, artwork and photography. The group hopes to print the magazine soon so members of the community will be able to view the students’ creative works.

With the start of the second semester, students enrolled in creative writing or public speaking for this semester have the opportunity to register for dual enrollment for college credit. Students will also choose their courses for next year in the upcoming weeks. There will a parent scheduling night 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6.

Track and field and cross country open workout began Jan. 30, as the teams prepare for this year’s spring season. All spring sport practices will begin in March.

To play a spring sport, students must have had a physical on or after June 1, 2017. Students may also need a recertification if they played a fall or winter sport.
