Food truck Thursdays are at the South Mall

How many of you have been to Food Truck Thursdays at the South Mall? I have and it’s yummy!

A variety of food trucks converge on the South Mall parking lot 4 to 8 p.m. every Thursday through September. It isn’t the same trucks every week, but according to the South Mall website, there could be Grumpy’s Bar-B-Que, Take a Taco, Cone Appetit, Cactus Blue Mexican Restaurant, Bananarama Food Truck and more. Don’t feel like cooking on a hot summer night? Go to the mall!

Summer library hours are in full swing for district students in grades kindergarten through eight. From 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 11, the library at Salisbury Middle School will be open; on July 18, the library at Harry S Truman Elementary will be open.

Baseline ImPACT testing for fall sports will be held in the Salisbury High School computer lab 6:30 p.m. July 17 and 5:30 p.m. July 18. For any questions and a link to register, email the school trainers at or

AMC Summer Movie Camp is at the AMC Classic 16 theatre, 1700 Catasauqua Road, Allentown, this summer. For a small fee, patrons can see a movie and get a small popcorn, a drink and a pack of fruit snacks 10 a.m. every Wednesday. On July 11, the movie is “Trolls,” July 18 is “Despicable Me 3.” For a complete listing, visit

There is a school board meeting 7:30 p.m. July 18 at the administration building if needed. Check the district website, to see if the meeting is canceled.

The Devonshire dropoff is open July 7 and 17. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Salisbury municipal offices will be closed for the Independence Day holiday, July 4 and there will be no trash or recycling pickup.
