of Alburtis

Richard D. Breinig, 79, of Alburtis, died Oct. 28, 2018, in Phoebe Home. He was the husband of Carol L. Derr-Breinig to whom he was married for 58 years in September. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Paul and Elda (Dreisbach) Breinig.

Before retiring in 2003, he was a music cataloger for the Library of Congress. Prior he worked in the surveying department for the City of Allentown.

He was a member of the Cathedral Choral Society, Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his wife; sisters, Shirley Baxter and Joan. He was predeceased by sisters, Doris Almeida and Beatrice Almedia.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Nov. 1 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 8227 Hamilton Blvd., Breinigsville, 18031. Calling hours will begin 9 a.m. in the church.
