of Salisbury Township

Thomas B. Payonk, 50, of Salisbury Township, died unexpectedly at home Dec. 2, 2018. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Bernard B. and Irene K. Payonk. He lived with his mother and cared for her as she aged.

He was a 1985 graduate of Salisbury High School.

He worked for Laneco prior to accepting a position with Piramal Critical Care where he worked until he was no longer able.

He was a member of the Fountain Hill Republican Club, Fountain Hill Democratic Association, V.F.W. and the Fountain Hill Hose Company.

He loved Musikfest, playing darts, riding his bike, reading and watching football; especially the Dallas Cowboys and the University of Michigan.

He will be remembered for his determination and focus when it came to rehabbing his legs.

He is survived by siblings, David and his wife Lori, of Alburtis; John and his wife Ann, of Schwenksville; Susan, of Allentown; nieces and nephews, Jason, Joleen, Adam, Sarah, Ben and Lennon; as well as aunts, uncles and many cousins.

A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, 18018. The family will receive guests 9 to 10 a.m. Dec. 6 at St. Ursula Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway, Fountain Hill, 18015 with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow.
