Christmas trees collected on second collection day

Now that the holidays are all behind us, January is in full swing! We have officially taken down all signs of Christmas at my house and it makes things just a tad less stressful for me personally.

That being said, Christmas trees will be collected during January on the second collection night with garbage pickup. Trees over 10 feet tall are requested to be cut in half, or you may just find them still on your curb.

There is a school board meeting scheduled 7:30 p.m. Jan. 16 in the administration building.

Harry S Truman Elementary School PTO orders for Matey’s Pizzas are due Jan. 16. Contact your favorite HST student to place your order today. Orders can be picked up Jan. 25.

The next HST T-shirt day is Jan. 17. Remember to show your Falcon pride!

Jan. 18 will be an early dismissal for all Salisbury Township schools. Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss 12:15 p.m. while HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School will dismiss 1 p.m. If there is any change in dismissal procedure, let your respective school know.

All Salisbury Township schools will be closed Jan. 21 for a professional development day.

Upcoming Salisbury Township meetings include a board of commissioners meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 10, an environmental advisory council meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 16, a recreation advisory committee meeting 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21 and a board of commissioners meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 24.
