Flapjack fundraiser to benefit boys’ basketball Feb. 2

The Salisbury High School boys’ basketball teams are holding a flapjack breakfast fundraiser 8 to 10 a.m. Feb. 2. There will be a basket raffle, with the winners being chosen 9:30 a.m. Come out to the Applebee’s, 7150 Hamilton Blvd, Trexlertown and support our teams.

Feb. 1 will be an early dismissal day for both Harry S Truman and Western Salisbury elementary schools. Students will be dismissed 1 p.m. SHS and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss at regular time.

The PTA of WSE is having a general meeting Feb. 5. Don’t eat dinner before you go but make your best pot of chili or chowder because there will be a chili/chowder cook-off to start the meeting.

SHS will host a parent scheduling night 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 5. Whether your student is an eighth grader who will be heading to the high school next year or a student who is already there, if you have any questions about their schedule or the classes being offered at SHS, you will find this meeting very informative.

A Coffee and Conversation event with Salisbury Township School District Superintendent Dr. Randy Ziegenfuss and Assistant Superintendent Lynn Fuini-Hetten will be held 8:45-9:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at HST.

The fifth grade class at WSE is sponsoring a blood drive 1 to 7 p.m. March 4. To make an appointment to give blood, call 610-730-5809.

An operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. Feb. 4 at the administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road.

A school board meeting is scheduled 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6 also at the administration building.
