Salisbury School District employee

Milton J. Hechler, 89, of Schnecksville, formerly of Center Valley, died Feb. 25, 2019, in his home. He was the husband of the late Helen M. (Hauck) Hechler, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. Born in New Ringgold, he was a son of the late William and Cora (Hafer) Hechler.

He was employed by the Salisbury Township School District as a maintenance worker and a bus driver.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of Friedensville Evangelical Lutheran Church, Center Valley.

He is survived by daughters, Carol A. Corcoran (Marc) and Deborah J.; sons, William M. and Harry E. (Daunissa); sisters, Eva Price and Lorraine Benedict; three grandchildren; one great-grandson. He was predeceased by brothers, Warren and Edward; sisters, Arlene, Marian, Dorothy and Mae.

Services will be 11 a.m. March 1 at Friedensville Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2451 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. March 1 at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the Bachman, Kulk & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
