Paul D. Cera
Paul D. Cera, 81, of Lower Macungie Township, died April 13, 2019, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Elizabeth M. (Orsulak) Cera. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in August. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Peter John Cera Sr. and Mary (Sovine) Cera.
He graduated from Lafayette College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and was a senior engineer with AT&T. He retired in 1989 with 31 years of service. After retiring, he worked for Applied Materials for eight years as a manager, retiring again in 1998.
He was a professional engineer in Pennsylvania and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for 26 years. He was a past chairman of the Anthracite/Lehigh Valley section of ASME.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam crisis (serving an additional seven years in the Marine reserves).
He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Lynn M. and her husband Samuel F. Finney Jr. and grandchildren, Samuel F. Finney III and Skylar L. Finney, of West Chester; son, David D. and his wife Julie, of Downingtown; sister, Mary Jablonski, of Warwick, N.Y.; 26 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Dr. Peter J. and Robert; sisters, Doris Hoyt, Viola Whitlock, Rose Morgans and Gloria Garcia.

A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. April 29 at St. Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Calling hours are 9:30 to 10:45 April 29 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
