Salisbury summer playground program begins June 17

We made it! The end of the 2019 school year is here! June 13 will be the last day of school for all Salisbury Township students.

Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury High School will dismiss 10:30 a.m. and both elementary schools will dismiss 11:15 a.m. I hope everyone has a safe, enjoyable and maybe even relaxing summer.

The Salisbury Township summer playground program begins June 17 and runs through July 26. All township children who are entering first grade through age 12 are able to participate. The program runs 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evenings. For more information or to register your child, visit the Salisbury Township website.

The annual blood drive in memory of Wayne Leibensperger Jr. will be held 3-7 p.m. June 19 at Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury, 1707 Church Road, Allentown. Appointments are available at giveapint.org with sponsor code 7447 or call Deana at 610-217-3155.

AMC movie theaters will again hold its summer movie camp Wednesday mornings. Details are available on the website. The movie playing June 19 will be “Hotel Transylvania 3” and June 26 will be “Peter Rabbit.”

The Franko Farm yard waste drop-off site will be open 3-6 p.m. June 17 and 20 and 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. June 22 and 25.

I hope that all your summer plans are fabulous, even if it’s just one long staycation – sometimes those are the most fun.
