The Emmaus Recreation and Entertainment Commission celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Summer Concert Series Aug. 11 at Emmaus Community Park. The event included classic and specialty cars, music, various vendors, food and a hot air balloon. RIGHT: An inflatable obstacle course is at Emmaus Community Park for the kids to climb through.
LEFT: Chad Boushell, with Lehigh Valley Hot Air, explains the fine details of hot air ballooning. It takes 110,000 cubic feet of air to fill a large balloon. The baskets you ride in are mostly handmade. The company is owned by Will Randell who also owns Meineke Car Care Center in Emmaus.
LEFT: A challenging game for adults as well as children is the Kerplunk game set up with sticks which held back colored balls. The challenge was to carefully remove one stick at a time to keep the balls from dumping into the basket. Fenton Robinson and Hudson Boushell try their luck at the game.
