Get ready for 167th edition of the Great Allentown Fair
Get ready for “Fair Fresh Fun” at the 167th Great Allentown Fair, Aug. 27 - Sept. 2, Allentown Fairgrounds, 17th, Liberty and Chew streets, Allentown.
The Lehigh County Agricultural Society, nonprofit owner and operator of The Allentown Fairgrounds and The Great Allentown Fair, brings the country to the city for seven days of agricultural exhibits, entertainment, rides, games, food and concert headliners at the 45-acre West End Allentown site.
This year’s Fairgrounds Grandstand lineup is: Live and Bush, Aug. 27; Impractical Jokers, Aug. 28; Brooks & Dunn, Aug. 29; Miranda Lambert, Aug. 30; Why Don’t We, Aug. 31; Hall & Oates, Sept. 1, and J&J Demolition Derby, Sept. 2.
In the Agri-Plex are displays of contest entries from Lehigh Valley farmers, gardeners, crafters, collectors, cooks and photographers.
There are 175 types of fruits and vegetables that are juried.
Also, 13 culinary contests offer cooks and bakers incentives to create favorites that are judged during the Fair in front of an audience.
The Fair typically exhibits more than 1,200 farm animals and 9,000 products from farms, gardens and homes, including arts and crafts.
