The registration cap for the race is 2,500 runners, according to the event website. The run is a qualifying contest for the Boston Marathon. The average time to complete the course in 2017 was 3:59:48.
Prior to the start of the race, the national anthem is performed.
Race organizers offer a bag check for runners. Racers tag their bags and fill the bags with personal items. The bags are then transported to the finish line for racers to collect after the finish. See additional photos on Page A2.
