Debate team coach Mike Barna breaks 500 wins

There is no argument to be had that Salisbury High School's debate coach and social studies teacher Michael Barna has steered many students to success on the debate team as this year marks the 500th win Salisbury has seen under Barna's leadership.

Barna has been coaching the debate team for 16 years, just as long as he has been teaching in the Salisbury School District.

"It's the kids who do it, they put in the time and effort," Barna said, being humble about his winning milestone. "It's my job to hold them accountable and guide them to what is a good speech."
