Vikings celebrate Homecoming festivities

Allentown Central Catholic High School celebrated Homecoming Oct. 16 to 21.

The school week consisted of a variety of dress-up themes, including pajama day, jersey day, twin day, USA day and green and gold day.

The spirit week closed with an enthusiastic pep rally, where various activities and performances took place. The Dance Team and the Mance Team, a group of senior boys that perform a dance choreographed by senior members of the Dance Team, both showed off their talents.

Wall of Fame inductions Oct. 7

Central Catholic has begun its Vikings on the Road program, in which select students travel to Central’s feeder schools throughout the Lehigh Valley. During the events, the students share their experiences at Allentown Central Catholic High School and any high school tips they have for eighth graders. So far, the program has visited St. Thomas More School in Allentown and St. Ann School in Emmaus with many more schools still to come.

Fall sports teams enjoying victories

On Aug. 31, Allentown Central Catholic High School students and staff attended the ordination of Bishop Schlert at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena in Allentown. Students who are members of the bishop’s team had a hands-on role in the ordination and were very excited to take part in the historic event.

Fall sports teams are enjoying many victories.

The Viking football team recently defeated Pleasant Valley with a score of 28-21 and Pocono Mountain West with a score of 41-20.
