Nathan E. Heilman, 82, of Macungie, died peacefully in his home November 3, 2012, with his wife of 61 years, Joyce (Kromer) Heilman, by his side. Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Nathan and Edna (Steigerwalt) Heilman.
He was a member of Locust Valley Chapel, Coopersburg, where he formerly served as a deacon and trustee.
He was an avid outdoorsman and love to work with his hands.

John P. Schuler, 80, of Old Zions-ville, died October 31, 2012, in the Inpatient Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Anna M.A. (Schuler) Schuler who died in 2004 after 46 years of marriage. Born in Vera Cruz, he was a son of the late Preston F. and Eva A. (Schafer) Schuler.
He worked for Pillsbury Company formerly of East Greenville for 32 years, retiring in 1994. Before that, he worked for Bethlehem Steel for nine years.
He was a member of Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.
Michael S. Turko, 72, of Emmaus, died October 30, 2012, in the Good Shepherd Special Care Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Eleanor (Wuench) Turko. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in September. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Michael S. Sr. and Amelia (Yarema) Turko.
He was a graduate of Allentown High School, Class of 1956.
He was an Army veteran having served in the adjunct general's office in Thailand.

"Beginning 7 a.m. Oct. 29, the Salisbury Township Police Department initiated an emergency operation condition and deployed additional patrol units and supervisory personnel. Throughout the day, administrative staff fielded calls from the public with requests for storm related information along with their normal call volume.

Kathleen M. Schenk, 62, of Upper Milford Township, died October 30, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late William Bailey and Eleanor (Peifer) Nonnemacher.
She was a member of Locust Valley Chapel, Coopersburg.
She was employed by Air Products in Trexlertown, for more than 20 years.
