Winter Ball at Salisbury High School Jan. 13

For those of you who were wondering with bated breath whether or not I finished all my Christmas prep on time… Yes, I did! I had to delegate things I normally do myself, like decorate the Christmas tree (thank you Justus and Bri) and coerce, I mean ask other family members to help wrap, bake and clean. But it all got done before the strike of midnight on Christmas Eve. Woo Hoo!

Salisbury High School will hold its Winter Ball 7 to 10 p.m. Jan. 13 in the high school gym. I hope it warms up a bit for those girls in their pretty dresses.

Do your last minute shopping on the SMS website

Who is ready for Christmas? As usual, I am not.

As I write this, I have not written one card, wrapped one present or baked one cookie. But, hey, why should this year be any different than the rest. Have no fear, somehow it will all get done. Believe it or not, two years ago I was actually ready so early that our family went to the movies on Christmas Eve to see the new Star Wars movie. Miracles do happen.

Trick or treat night Oct. 27

Trick or treat night in Salisbury Township is 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 27.

The South Mall is also having a trick or treat event 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 28. If you are like me and live near the Emmaus border, their trick or treat night is 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. I don’t get many trick or treaters where I live, so if I get a few from Emmaus, I give them some candy if I have it.
