The Freddy Awards are 7 p.m. May 26 and can be watched live on WFMZ. Four SHS students will be performing in the opening and closing numbers of the Freddys: Juniors David Eckhart and Jesse Long and seniors Dane Galbraith and Abigail Garrigan. Break a leg!
Tickets for this year’s senior prom are on sale now. This year’s prom will be held 6 to 10 p.m. May 14 at Lehigh University Mountaintop Campus, Iacocca Hall. Seniors are invited to attend senior hour 5 to 6 p.m.
Prom tickets are on sale during lunches now through April 22 for seniors and juniors only. Dinner at the prom will be served 6:30 p.m. and students must make their dinner choice at the time of ticket purchase.
SHS students participated in Penn State’s German Day 2016 March 31 at Penn State University. Activities included a poster and movie competition, a spelling bee, poetry recitation and a German trivia game.

The fourth annual Salisbury High School Dodgeball Tournament, sponsored by Student Government Association, will be held 6:30 to 9 p.m. March 17 in the new gym.
The Salisbury Wrestling Booster Club will hold its second annual comedy show Feb. 20 at Fearless Fire Company. From 7 to 8:30 p.m. there will be refreshments and a chance to socialize. The comedy show will be 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. and there will be another chance to socialize 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Feb. 21. There will also be a 50/50 and a basket raffle. Congratulations to Salisbury High School seniors Matthew Fainor and Olivia King for being named Winter Ball Prince and Princess at the dance Jan. 18.
Senior portraits must be submitted for yearbook inclusion by Jan. 30. Photos may be submitted to the EYAS Yearbook in one of two ways: digital proof submission or a hard copy.
If a photo is digitally submitted, the picture cannot include a watermark and it should be attached to an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. A JPEG is preferred.

A big congratulations to Salisbury High School sophomores Mason Groff and John Yurconic for winning the state bronze boys tennis Class 2A Doubles medal for their win in Lancaster County May 23. You guys had a fantastic season.
The SHS varsity baseball team lost a nail-biting District XI Class 2A semifinal game against Schuylkill Haven May 23. The boys lost 2-1 in the bottom of the 12th inning. Great game guys and thanks for the amazing season.
The graduating class of 2015 and their families are invited to attend the Salisbury High School Baccalaureate 7 p.m. May 14 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown.
The service has been planned by the students.
A farewell address as well as inspirational messages from teachers will be included in the candlelight service.

Salisbury High School will administer Keystone exams for selected students in grades nine through 11 for the next two weeks.
It's prom season and Salisbury High School prom tickets are on sale now. Senior sale days are over, so prom tickets are available to anyone wishing to purchase them. There are less than 200 tickets available. Tickets can be purchased between the hours of 7 and 7:30 a.m. and during Falcon periods and all lunch periods. Seniors may purchase two tickets, but must supply the name of the guest for whom the ticket is being purchased.
