Lady Falcon defense thriving in new system

Heading into the season, Salisbury girls soccer head coach Rick Babyak wasn't sure how the team's new defensive scheme would work out.

As the regular season has reached its conclusion, Babyak couldn't be happier with the decision to change.

Switching from a sweeper-stopper defense last season, Babyak implemented the flat back four defense over the offseason. After losing a number of solid defenders from last season's team, it remained to be seen how the change would pan out.

Falcons fall to Pirates, 35-7

While Friday night's scoreboard showed a 35-7 loss to Palisades, Salisbury football head coach Andy Cerco noted a number positives that displayed the team's character and continuity.

Battling a number of injuries along the offensive line, as well as an ejection from one of those linemen during the first half, a number of Falcons stepped up for the greater good of the team.

A. AP US History is my favorite because I enjoy analyzing why events happen in the past and how they affect us today.
