PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed electronic bids for the 2020 LATERAL REPLACEMENT PROJECT will be received by Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, on March 23, 2020 until 3:15 PM (Prevailing Time) via the PennBID Electronic Bid Management System and opened shortly thereafter. The Base Bid Contract will generally include the removal of approximately 470 linear feet of existing sanitary service lateral pipes and cleanouts and the replacement with approximately 470 linear feet of 6" PVC sewer lateral pipes. The project will include a "Base Bid" and two (2) "Alternate/Add-On Bids" for additional lateral replacements of approximately 381 linear feet of 6" PVC lateral replacements, if awarded. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate bonds with corporate surety issued by companies authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the prescribed forms dated the date of the Contract, or separate Federal or Commonwealth chartered lending institution irrevocable letters of credit in a form accepted and approved by the Township, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, to secure (a) the faithful performance and maintenance of the Contract; and (b) the prompt payment of materials and labor.
