PUBLIC NOTICE MUNICIPAL ADVERTISEMENT BOROUGH OF NORTH CATASAUQUA Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of North Catasauqua will conduct a public hearing and consider the adoption of the ordinance summarized herein, at a meeting on August 3, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. At said meeting, Council shall consider enacting, and if appropriate, will take a vote on adopting "An Ordinance of the Borough of North Catasauqua, County of Northampton, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Establishing Requirements for the Issuance of a Certificate of Use and Occupancy for all Commercial and Residential Structures." The proposed ordinance enacts the requirements and procedure for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy before any land, buildings or structures are deeded or conveyed; before any portion of a real property, land, buildings or structures in the Borough are leased for living accommodation; before any change in use of any real property, building, or structures takes effect; or before any vacant ground or enlargement of any building or structure, or any newly constructed building or structure may be occupied. The ordinance sets forth the procedure for applying for a Certificate of Occupancy, inclusive of required fees; the procedure for a grant of a Certificate of Occupancy, including satisfactory inspection of the premises; procedures to address unsatisfactory inspections and revocation of permits; penalties; and appeals. The full proposed text of said ordinance may be examined by any citizen at the Office of the Borough of North Catasauqua, located at 1066 Fourth Street, North Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, 18032, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until the date of the aforesaid Borough Council Meeting. PUBLIC NOTICE MUNICIPAL ADVERTISEMENT BOROUGH OF NORTH CATASAUQUA Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of North Catasauqua will conduct a public hearing and consider the adoption of the ordinance summarized herein, at a meeting on August 3, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. At said meeting, Council shall consider enacting, and if appropriate, will take a vote on adopting "An Ordinance of the Borough of North Catasauqua, County of Northampton, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Establishing Regulations for the Registration, Inspection and Licensing of Residential Properties and Housing Occupancy for Rental Properties, Violations, Penalties for Noncompliance, and Procedures for Appeals." The proposed ordinance requires that owners shall apply for the registration of all residential rental units with the Borough annually, pay the applicable fee, and submit to an inspection of the premises. The proposed ordinance further requires that owners keep the Borough apprised of changes in unit occupancy, designation of managers, and changes in management, as may be applicable. The ordinance sets forth the procedure for applying for a Residential Rental License; the procedure for a grant of a license, including satisfactory inspection of the premises; procedures for periodic inspections; procedures to address unsatisfactory inspections; penalties; and appeals.
