The Canadian band, The Cowboy Junkies, emerged from the Toronto music scene with a blend of country, blues, folk and rock. The band, in which three of the four members are siblings, formed in 1985.

Their melodic cover of Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane" was used in the 1994 film, "Natural Born Killers," and was the group's highest-charting single in the United States, reaching No. 5 on the modern rock chart. The group is now on a tour of the northeast United States.

'Heart of the Valley': one-stop antiquing

WDIY, Lehigh Valley Community Public Radio, is celebrating the 14th anniversary of its annual fundraiser, the "Heart of the Valley" antiques show, March 1, 2, Charles A. Brown Ice House, 56 River St., Sand Island, Bethlehem.

There will be 25 dealers selling their wares, including early Americana and Victorian, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. March 1 and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. March 2.

It's like spending a weekend antiquing without having to get in your car and drive all over the countryside.
