The second annual KidsPeace Community Yard Sale will be held 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. Aug. 24, KidsPeace Family Center, 1650 Broadway, Salisbury Township.

In the event of rain, the sale will be held indoors.

Community members, crafters and vendors are welcome to reserve a space for a minimum donation.

The deadline to register for a spot is Aug. 19. Participants must bring their own tables. Vendors keep profits from sales.

The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival annual gala, "Luminosity," honored Linda Lapos and Paul Wirth as this year's Will Shakespeare Award recipients.

Lapos has attended every production in the PSF 22-year history. She is on the PSF board of directors. She and her husband, Paul, have been PSF sponsors for many years.

Summer annual grasses continue to be pervasive weed problems in many turfgrass areas throughout the Lehigh Valley. A week-long exhibit about Henry Ford, who was born 150 years ago, will be held at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum, 432 W. Walnut St., Allentown.
