John Reynard, of Emmaus, has been chosen by the Lehigh County Democratic Committee as the candidate to face Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, in the November election.
Berks County is expected to approve Reynard in a poll vote and the state party's executive committee is expected to make a decision this week to secure Reynard's place on the ballot in November.
Reynard sat down with The Press Aug. 6 to discuss his background, qualifications and goals for the 134th district.
To the Editor:
I am a Buckeye who arrived in the Lehigh Valley about 35 years ago and feel that JoePa is getting worse treatment than Adolph Hitler.
Most articles dealing with the Penn State situation frequently starts out with Joe Paterno and blank, blank and it appears that he was the bad guy. Seldom are the others mentioned at the outset.
Jonathan Nunez, 20, of Allentown, was arrested for the homicide of a Whitehall Township woman found murdered July 5 in the 2700 block of Lanze Lane, Salisbury Township.
Kimberly Cardona, 20, was found dead with numerous injuries to her head, face, neck, hands, legs and torso. Lehigh County Coroner Scot Grim said Cardona died from blunt force trauma to head and sharp force trauma to the neck.
To the Editor:
