Allentown Public Library, 1210 Hamilton St., Allentown, will be having a Poetry and Open Mic Night 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 24.
This will be a platform for poets, storytellers and musicians to share their works and the inspiration behind them in an intimate setting. Those interested in performing are asked to sign up first-come, first-served, at the event.
Members in good standing of a Masonic Lodge, who work second or third shift, have difficulty driving at night, have a physical challenge or just want an afternoon out once a month for friendship and brotherhood are invited to join Lehigh Valley Day Lodge No. 813 as a plural member.
Lodge members meet 11 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.

The Children's Dyslexia Center of Allentown is having a book fair 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 20, at Barnes and Noble at The Promenade Shops, Center Valley.
Events include book signings by Author Eli Kowalski, appearance by Kushka, the real-life dog from the book "Kushka, the Dog Named Cat," musical performance by Ryan Leaver 1 to 2 p.m.; special story times; crafts; face painting and a store scavenger hunt.
Lower Milford Township is welcoming spring April 27 with its annual cleanup day and inaugural "Spring Fling," with a kite building workshop/ exhibition, a Solehi lacrosse exhibition and bake sale.
Beginning at 8 a.m., volunteers gather in Lower Milford Township to collect litter from township roads helping to keep trash out of streams and waterways. The township provides trash bags and safety vests. Around noon following the cleanup, there will be free grilled hot dogs and beverages for all the cleanup volunteers.
A fundraising event for Emmaus Fire Victims will be held 8 to 11 p.m. April 20 at the Emmaus VFW, 316 Main St. Emmaus. The cover charge will benefit the Woomer Family. The band "The Acoustic Project"

An "Entrepreneurial Communities; Increasing Regional Prosperity through Entrepreneurism" seminar will be held April 12 at the Fowler Center, South Bethlehem.
The speaker for the all day event is Dr. Michael Fortunato, research associate and lecturer at Penn State University. Four local individuals will discuss how they get input about needs from entrepreneurs and what challenges they encounter.
