The City of Bethlehem's Earl E. Schaffer Municipal Ice Rink is now open for public ice skating. Public skating is available 1 to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays; and 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings.

Korean War veterans who served their country honorably may be eligible for a Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Secretary of Defense, according to state Sen. Pat Browne, R-16th.
