David Wick Capron, 81, of Macungie, died Aug. 27, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Shirley Cook who died in 1985. Born in New Jersey, he was a son of the late Warren and Helen (Wick) Capron.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran PR. 2nd Class, serving 1951-1959.

He was a CPA.

An avid lover of cribbage, he was founder and president of The Macungie Area Cribbage Klub.

Nancy Gertrude (Luquer) Wallich of Macungie, died Sept. 1, 2014, at Geisenger Medical Center, Scranton, after sustaining injuries from an accident at the family home in Damascus, Pa., Aug. 29. She was the wife of the late Lawrence "Larry" Wallich, who died in 2002. She was born in Spring Gardens, Queen, N.Y.

While growing up she was an instructor in boating, lifesaving, swimming and camping at Camp Ma-He Tu at Bear Mountain, N.Y.

Betty Catherine (Wilt) Seibert, 86, of Macungie (Upper Milford Township), died unexpectedly Aug. 28, 2014, surrounded by her immediate family. She was the wife of the late Warren P. Seibert. They celebrated 42 years of marriage. Born in Cetronia, she was a daughter of the late John A. Wilt and Elizabeth V. (Kline) Wilt of Macungie.

She attended Koch's School, a one-room schoolhouse on Saint Peter's Road and graduated from Emmaus High School in 1945.

Forrest C. Beers, 92, of Emmaus, formerly of Bowmanstown, died Aug. 26, 2014, in Cedarbrook. Born in Bowmanstown, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Hannah M. (Andreas) Beers.

He worked for 39 years at the NJ Zinc Company as a tool clerk.

He honorably served his country in the Air Force during World War II, stationed on the island of Tinian in the Pacific Theater and later served in the Korean conflict.

He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bowmanstown.

Helen Ann E. Hatfield, 54, of Alburtis, died Aug. 26, 2014. She was the wife of Kenneth L. Hatfield. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Walsh) Leporati.

She is survived by her husband; children, Elizabeth and Kevin, three sisters, Mary Matcovich, Patricia Funkhouser and Rita Myers; favorite brother, Joseph Leporati; many cousins; nieces and nephews.

Grace M. (Meckel) Rosazza, 94, of Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Emmaus, died Aug. 29, 2014. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Rosazza who died in 2011. They were married for 69 years. She was the daughter of the late Howard A. Meckel and Lillian H. (Hoffert) Meckel of Bethlehem.

A graduate of Liberty High School, Bethlehem and Bethlehem Business School, she worked as an accountant/secretary for different businesses in the Lehigh Valley area including Rodale Press, Emmaus.

James A. Althouse, 86, of Emmaus, died Aug. 29, 2014, at Lehigh Center, Macungie. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Wirth) Althouse. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Daniel and Pearl M. (Sigley) Althouse.

He was employed as an assembler for 22 years at Allentown Brake and Wheel until retiring.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during peacetime.

He is survived by his wife; brother, Gerald and his wife Barbara, of Granbury, Texas; nieces and a nephew.
