Fern J. Romig Smith, 83, formerly of Allentown and Macungie, died December 13, 2012, at the Heritage Care Center, American Fort, Utah. She was the wife of Harold W. Smith. Born in Alburtis, she was the daughter of the late Robert N. and Minnie Mae (Conrad) Shoemaker.
Before retiring in 1992, she worked as a packer at Daytimers for 25 years.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Fogelsville.
She was a member of the Macungie VFW.
Eleanor M. (DeLong) Hensinger, 80, of Macungie, formerly of Kutztown, died December 27, 2012, in her residence, Lehigh Commons Senior Living. She was the wife of Elmer F. "Buddy" Hensinger. They were married for 59 years. Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late George R. and Luella C. (Weidner) DeLong.
She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zion's Union Church, Kutztown.
She was a member of the Kutztown Lioness Club for many years, serving as its first president in 1970.
Evelyn M. (Gehman) Albee, 91, of Macungie, died December 25, 2012, in Woodland Terrace. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Albee. Born in Egypt, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Erma G. (DeLong) Gehman.
She was a 1939 graduate of Allentown High School.
She worked as an executive secretary for Lehigh Consistory, Muhlenberg College, General Electric and the Navy Department at Bethlehem Steel during World War II.
She attended Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.
Sandra A. "Sandy" Bors, of Emmaus, died December 22, 2012. She was the wife of Frank Bors Sr. for 49 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Marvin "Mal" and Lillian C. (Eckert) Lowe.
She was in the first graduating class of Dieruff High School in 1960. An accounting student, she worked for Air Products Inc., Trexlertown, as a cost analyst for 10 years, a bookkeeper for J & J Floor Maintenance for 10 years and was president and co-owner with her husband of Bors Motors Inc. for 25 years.
She was a former volunteer for the former Allentown Hospital.
Nancy A. (Bayliss) Weber, 78, of Macungie, formerly of Emmaus, died December 17, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Dean H. Weber. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last April 27. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Alfred R. and Mildred (Reese) Bayliss.
A graduate of the former Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in 1955, she was employed as a registered nurse at the former Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center for 40 years, retiring in 1996.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus.
Ruth E. Reichard, 92, of Macun-gie, died December 21, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Wilbur F. Reichard. Born in Brookdale, she was the daughter of the late Howard N. and Helen (Hilbert) Schueck.
She was a 1938 graduate of Emmaus High School.
She worked for Allen Organ for 30 years, retiring in 1980.
She was a life-time member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie and a life member of the Macungie VFW and Macungie Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
Clyde E. Buchman Jr., 86, of Macungie, died December 21, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Grace L. (Hopkins) Buchman of Macungie. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clyde E. Sr. and Sarah (Leiser) Buchman.
He was a long-time member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown, where he served on the Asbury Building Committee when the church was built on Springhouse Road.
Donald E. Misera, 74, of Emmaus, died December 17, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Paul S. and Margaret H. (Rokosny) Misera.
He was employed by Exide Battery Co., Emmaus, for 30 years, retiring as a supervisor. He then worked at Graham Security Police.
He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was also a member of the Macungie VFW and its golf league.
He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus, and was also a member of the Board of Governors at Unami Gun Club, Emmaus.
Stephen J. Silnik Sr., 89, of Allentown and formerly of Emmaus, died Dec. 18, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was husband of the late Margaret A. (Schueck) Silnik. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Demeter and Mary Silnik.
He worked in construction, at Perma Stone, and was a machine operator for That's Packaging for many years.
He honorably served his country in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by a son, Stephen J. Jr. of Allentown; brother, Raymond of Emmaus.
Witold Jurewicz, 58, of Lower Macungie Township, died December 18, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Bozena Jurewicz, with whom he shared 27 years of marriage. Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Stanislaw and Apolonia (Harasim) Jurewicz.
He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.
He was a limousine driver for J & J Limousine Service for many years.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Olivia; brother, Stanislaw; sister-in-laws, Ewa Bartecka and family, and Joanna Rothkegel and family.
