Police received a report of a sick fox in the 900 block of Emmaus Avenue 8:55 a.m. Aug. 31. The animal was not found.
An older, brown dachshund was found at Laubach Park 11:55 a.m. Sept. 6. The dog was injured and had trouble walking. There were no tags. The officer took the dog to the Lehigh County Humane Society.
A dead fox was found in the garden of a home in the 1700 block of Ritter Street 7:10 a.m. Sept. 6.
Police were dispatched to Laubach Park 7:52 p.m. Sept. 9 for a fight with injuries. Upon arrival, officers found one injured female with a puncture wound to her face. While on the scene, officers found a juvenile male who was unconscious in the woods from an unrelated medical issue. Both parties were taken to St. Luke's Hospital - Fountain Hill for medical care. This incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-797-1447.
Rebekah Wakeman, 24, of Bethlehem, was arrested for DUI on Brookside Road at Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 2:34 a.m. Aug. 25. Wakeman was stopped for traffic violations and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Robert Henry, 31, of Lower Macungie, was arrested for DUI on Schoeneck Road at Alburtis Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:03 a.m. Aug. 26. Henry was stopped for traffic violations and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.
A resident in the 3000 block of Meadowbrook Circle reported 4:18 p.m. Aug. 17 an unknown actor attempted to use the victim's Social Security card. She was alerted by her bank to the potential threat.
A resident in the 2200 block of Bishop Road reported fraudulent accounts were attempted to be opened in his name 10 a.m. Aug. 20.
A resident in the 1700 block of Crownwood Street reported 11 a.m. Aug. 28 an unknown actor applied for credit cards in the victim's name. Applications were flagged by the bank. All applications originated in Minneapolis, Minn.
Alexis Werley, of Whitehall, was arrested for DUI on State Route 29 between Pine Street and Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:31 a.m. Aug. 8. Werley was stopped for traffic violations and was allegedly under the influence of alcohol with a BAC of .12 percent.
Cristian Pibaque, 22, was arrested for DUI on State Route 222 southbound at Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:13 a.m. Aug. 19. Pibaque was stopped for speeding and failing to maintain a lane of travel when he was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.
A Lehigh County DUI Task Force checkpoint was conducted 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Aug. 10 and netted 13 impaired drivers in the 1600 block of Broadway, along the Fountain Hill – Salisbury traffic corridor.
The checkpoint was set up in the 1600 block of Broadway and was staffed with police officers from multiple surrounding departments, Salisbury Police Department Traffic Officer Bryan Losagio said.
Kara Mercado, 33, of Emmaus, was arrested for DUI on S. 8th Street, Emmaus, 12:43 a.m. July 28. Mercado was allegedly under the influence during a traffic stop.
Alexander Smith, 23, of Allentown, was arrested for DUI on State Route 222 northbound at Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:18 a.m. Aug. 10. Smith was stopped for a traffic violation and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.
A resident in the 400 block of East Rock Road reported the receipt of an All American Clearing House check July 27. The check was issued to her so she could pay the duty tax on her winnings. MoneyGram flagged the check and stopped the transaction.
Christopher Vogel, of Alburtis, was arrested for DUI on Weilers Road at Walbert Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 7:21 p.m. Aug. 5. Vogel was traveling north on Walbert Lane and was unable to stop for a posted stop sign. His vehicle traveled through the intersection and struck a PPL pole. Vogel allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication when police arrived.
