Kalman Christopher Sadi, 41, of Catasauqua, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop on South Cedar Crest Boulevard at the Interstate 78 West on-ramp, Salisbury Township, 11:52 p.m. June 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
The Salisbury Township Police Department and the Salisbury Township Recreation Advisory Committee have teamed together for a community event 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 7 at Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road, Allentown. Residents will have an opportunity to meet and greet local police officers, firefighters and EMS personnel. Many activities are planned, including a basket raffle, 50/50 drawing, bingo, kids’ games and activities, moon bounce, home safety tips, neighborhood watch information, music from B-Flat Entertainment Services and more.
Michael Shawn Horst, 37, of Bethel, is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police after he allegedly fled the scene of a traffic stop on Cedar Crest Boulevard in the area of Fish Hatchery Road, Salisbury Township, 2:55 a.m. June 17, prompting a pursuit, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Police are seeking a local man in connection with a stabbing last year and request residents’ help in the apprehension of Gary Paul Mayers, 43.
On Nov. 10, 2017, at approximately 3:21 p.m., a stabbing was reported to the Bethlehem Police 911 Center. The caller reported the stabbing occurred in the 500 block of Ontario Street and a crime scene was established in the neighborhood.
Two 14-year-old male juveniles, one 15-year-old male juvenile and one 17-year-old male juvenile were seen carrying a paint can and exiting a vacant home in the 1800 block of Alder Lane 10:41 a.m. June 16. The home has “no trespass” signs posted. One male admitted to painting graffiti inside the home and another had a marijuana pipe in his possession.
The Salisbury Township Police Department is investigating a report of a robbery and assault which occurred in an area adjacent to Lindberg Park in Salisbury Township.
On June 12 at about 7:27 p.m., the Salisbury Township Police were dispatched to the area of Lindberg Park and met the juvenile victim. The male victim was clothed in only his underwear and had a laceration to his leg, a contusion on his arm, various cuts on his body and a bruise on his cheek.
Police received a report of broken windows on a shed at Dodson Park, 1038 Dodson St., 7:12 p.m. May 30.
A resident in the 600 block of Erney Street reported the theft of a 2004 green and black Honda TRX350 Ranger all-terrain vehicle, 6:42 a.m. May 31.
Wilson Santiago, 26, of Orlando, Fla., was charged with persistent disorderly conduct and harassment June 1 following an alleged incident at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest. Santiago was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Suzanne Smith, 40, of Emmaus, was charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance 12:17 a.m. May 24, while a patient at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest.
Police were called to Laubach Park, 1630 Lehigh Ave., 6:40 p.m. May 24 for the report of multiple juveniles smoking marijuana by the basketball court and the pavilion. When police arrived, four juveniles ran and one remained who knew nothing of the alleged incident.
Alexander Cortes-Alvarez, 32, of Hartford, Conn., was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop along Interstate 78 eastbound at mile marker 55.5, Salisbury Township, 11:56 p.m. May 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Cortes-Alvarez also was allegedly in possession of a small amount of marijuana, according to police.
