The following Harry S Truman Elementary School students received a certificate for September acknowledging no missed assignments.
Q: What grade are you in?
A: I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?
A: My favorite subject is math. Throughout my life, math has come fairly natural to me. I welcome the challenge of tougher math courses because they further my knowledge in the expansive subject. Continuing to learn and enroll in new curriculum pushes me to grow in my understanding and increases my love of the subject.
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?
As September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Salisbury High School Football team decided to join the Touchdowns Against Cancer program, along with many other schools across the country, to raise money to support St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
The team asked community members to make a pledge to support this cause. Community members could either place a pledge on each touchdown scored between Sept. 8 through 30 or donate a flat rate.
All donations are tax deductible.
At the end of the campaign, all money raised from the pledges will be donated.
